Buy it here: God surrounded by Boston Terrier angels Poster
In 1889 the breed became so popular in Boston that its lovers created the Boston Terrier Club, but the proposed name was not as popular with Bull Terrier lovers. They did not like the name of this species, “round head”. A short time later, the species was named the Boston Terrier after its homeland.
This species was recognized by the AKC in 1893. It was first exhibited in Boston in 1870. In the early years color and patches were not really important, but by 1900 the patches were distinct in terms of color. This species as well as coat color is written as standard. The terrier is just a name, the Boston Terrier has really been the dog fighter of the past.
